„Boxer“ ist ein Selbstporträt, in dem Becker seine persönliche Reise durch die Grundpolaritäten des Lebens reflektiert – mit „pain“ (von painting) als seinem Yin und „ting“ als seinem Yang. Das Werk thematisiert das ständige Ringen um Gleichgewicht zwischen Kampf und Sehnsucht: Schmerz steht für die Opfer, die er bereit ist zu bringen, während ting – im Sinne von „thing of“ – seinen Traum verkörpert. Gemeinsam formen sie eine dynamische Spannung, die seinen Weg nach vorn bestimmt und seine kreative Energie nährt.
