„SING A SONG“ (wie auch „BEATHANG“) ist Teil einer Werkserie, die sich mit Signalfluss und Klangübertragung beschäftigt – durchzogen von einigen von Beckers liebsten Geräten und Instrumenten. Im Zentrum steht ein Bluetooth-Lautsprecher, liebevoll „Puppy“ genannt – eine Hommage an die kleinen Hunde, die er und seine Band auf Tour stets dabeihatten. Das kompakte, an ein Hotelzimmer erinnernde Setup lädt die Betrachter*innen dazu ein, unmittelbar mit dem Werk in Kontakt zu treten. Es ermutigt dazu, eigene Ängste vor dem Musikmachen zu überwinden und kreative wie emotionale Barrieren zu durchbrechen.

“SING A SONG” (as well as “BEATHANG”) is part of a series exploring signal flow, infused with some of Becker’s favorite pieces of gear. At the center is a Bluetooth speaker lovingly nicknamed “Puppy”—a nod to the small dogs he and his band always took with them on tour. This compact, hotel-room-style setup invites viewers to engage directly with the work, encouraging them to confront their fears around making music and to break through creative and emotional barriers.
