"Wie altert man in einem fremden Land?" Am 13. Mai eröffnet die Einzelausstellung "Frau X" mit Terada Yukiko im Foyer des OAG-Hauses in Tokio. "How does one grow old in a foreign country?" On 13 May 2025 the solo exhibition "Frau X" with Terada Yukiko opens at the OAG-house in Tokyo.

Noah Becker’s first solo exhibition at Galerie Deschler derives its programmatic title from one of his paintings: FACE YOUR FEAR. The exhibition takes visitors on a visual journey through Becker’s personal experiences and social observations. Moving freely between painting, sculpture, and installation, Becker presents a body of work that balances introspection with critical commentary.

The large-scale photographs by American artist Jay Mark Johnson achieve something ordinarily impossible for photography: by means of a modified panoramic camera they record continuous movement. In doing so, Johnson breaks with established ways of seeing and creates a new visual language, one that at first may appear enigmatic to the beholder. At the same time he adjusts the parameters of his recording in such a manner that the visual shifts remain rather subtle. The strong visual appeal of his carefully arranged compositions arises from the tension between the seemingly familiar and the mysteriously different.

Child's Play: An Investigation of Violence, Desires, and Taboos Through Art, a panel discussion highlighting topics inspired by Patricia Waller's current solo exhibition, Child's Play. The artist will be present and joined by Hrag Vartanian (Editor-in-chief and co-founder of Hyperallergic) and Ariane Lignier, (Communications Officer for the UN's Office of the Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict), and the panel will be moderated by Sharon Louden (Artist, advocate, community builder and Executive Director of Women's Studio Workshop).

Der zweite Teil der Ausstellung widmet sich nun den ersten zehn Jahren seiner Laufbahn, von 1974, dem Jahr der Aufnahme seines Kunststudiums an der Hochschule der Künste Berlin (heute UdK) bis 1984, der Ausstellungsbeteiligung im MoMA, New York  – eine wirklich beeindruckende Karriere.

The second part of the exhibition is dedicated to the first ten years of his career, from the year he began his art studies at the Hochschule der Künste Berlin (now UdK) in 1974 to his participation in an exhibition at the MoMA in New York in 1984 - a truly impressive career.
